Environmental Technology Engineer
Benjamin Zev is an Environmental Engineer. Since 1989, Zev has led thousands of projects that have directly impacted the sustainability of the environment in his area. He certainly can’t take full credit for the incredible work that has been done to earn his neighborhood a ranking amongst the most sustainable places in the country. Even still, he maintains an unwavering sense of pride for how far the area has come in setting an example of sustainability. From reducing waste and pollution to embracing climate awareness and action, the Green Mountain area is at the forefront of sustainability in America.
Energy Efficiency
As an Environmental Engineer, Benjamin Zev has worked to reduce emissions in the area by keeping sustainability in mind in his work in the area of real estate and building. His own community is particularly conscious of sustainability in its city and town planning. Zev is proud to live, study, research and work in the region with the lowest emissions per capita.
Nearly all of the electricity pumping through buildings in the Northeast safe-haven for sustainability is sourced renewably. The focus on environmental technology in Zev’s neighborhood is evident. More than half of the power in the area is produced through energy efficiency. Forty-seven hydroelectric dams and solar sources produce power to the region.
Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV)
It comes as no surprise to anyone that Environmental Engineer and Sustainability Advocate Benjamin Zev has been driving Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) almost since the first iteration. A Zero Emissions Vehicle is a vehicle that produces little to no emissions. At least, that was the definition at the very start, explains seasoned ZEV owner and Environmental Engineer, Benjamin Zev. Today, ZEVs strive for true zero emissions; for example, electric vehicles (EVs) that operate without conventional internal combustion engines.
